[SMM Analysis: Labour Day holiday Leads to Increase in Stainless Steel Social Inventory - How Will Inventory Be Reduced After the Holiday?] On May 6, 2025, the total stainless steel inventory in Wuxi and Foshan increased from 975,400 mt on April 30 to 998,200 mt, with a WoW increase of 2.34%. Specifically, the growth rate in Wuxi was 2.48%, while in Foshan it was 2.17%. Inventories across various series all increased to varying degrees.

On May 6, 2025, the total stainless steel inventory in Wuxi and Foshan increased from 975,400 mt on April 30 to 998,200 mt, with a WoW increase of 2.34%. Specifically, the growth rate in Wuxi was 2.48%, and in Foshan, it was 2.17%. Inventories across various series all increased to varying degrees.
During the Labour Day holiday, traders took time off, and downstream enterprises stockpiled in advance, leading to a slower pace of shipments during the holiday. Meanwhile, stainless steel mills received normal deliveries, resulting in an overall increase in stainless steel inventory in both locations.
After the holiday, as downstream enterprises gradually resume production on their production lines, the demand for stainless steel will be gradually released, and inventory is expected to be rapidly depleted.
